Job summary

Findhelp is seeking a software development engineer in test to strengthen QA for our social care platform. You will design quality standards, implement automated tests, and work with product, development, and operations teams to ensure reliable software deployments.

This role is based in an office in Austin, TX or Madison, WI. Candidates should have 4–5+ years of QA experience, strong testing across smoke to performance, and the ability to mentor juniors.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years in software development quality engineering or QA.
• Detail-oriented with keen gap identification.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests.
• Entrepreneurial, proactive in creating solutions.
• Team player with disciplined delivery.
• Fluent in multiple web testing types (smoke, functional, API, performance).
• Experience coding and using QA tools and processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products, features, and processes meet quality standards.
• Develop corrective measures and implement quality systems.
• Conduct inspections and testing of materials, equipment, processes, and software.
• Monitor, analyze, and report quality performance metrics.
• Collaborate with product, development, and operations teams to improve processes.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test cases and frameworks.
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of test automation frameworks.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve product or process issues.
• Review codes, specifications, and workflows for compliance with standards.
• Provide guidance to junior team members.
