Job summary

BD is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Test to own and evolve our automated test platform. You will design and build production-quality code that verifies software, architect test infrastructure, and contribute to shared libraries.

This role demands a self-directed engineer who treats test code as production code and collaborates with development teams on quality strategy. You will mentor others, design scalable test frameworks, and ensure high-quality software through robust testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science
• 3+ years professional software development with strong OO design and clean code
• Proficiency in Java; design and build maintainable, extensible code
• Proven experience building test frameworks and shared libraries from scratch
• Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0 authentication flows
• Hands-on experience engineering browser automation frameworks
• Experience designing and executing load simulations with JVM tuning for high-concurrency
• Proficiency with multi-module build systems and dependency management
• Experience authoring and owning CI/CD pipeline definitions end-to-end
• Familiarity with structured test reporting and static quality tooling

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a multi-module test infrastructure spanning API, browser, performance, and protocol-level testing
• Develop and version reusable shared libraries, authentication clients, model libraries, device simulators, and data providers
• Build software simulators for external systems and hardware devices to enable isolated test environments
• Engineer layered API client abstractions for authentication, request construction, response validation, and logging
• Design and execute load simulations that model real user journeys and define SLOs
• Author and maintain CI/CD pipeline definitions that execute, gate, and report on test results
• Integrate test execution with external test management and defect tracking systems for traceability
• Enforce production-grade engineering standards on test code and design patterns
• Advise on API contracts and observability from a testability perspective
• Mentor engineers contributing to the test codebase and establish scalable conventions
