Job summary

Vestmark, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to shape our QA discipline and build scalable automated tests. The role collaborates across product, engineering, and QA to ensure high-quality releases for our financial technology platform.

You will enhance automated test suites, explore AI-assisted testing strategies, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate brings deep SDET experience in fintech, strong Python/Selenium skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of QA experience in FinTech or related domain.
• Experience with Agile SDLC tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
• Foundational understanding of Git and GitHub workflows.
• Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Selenium WebDriver with Python and Pytest.
• Knowledge of scripting languages; Groovy and Ruby a plus.
• API testing using Postman or equivalent.
• Performance testing with tools like JMeter or Locust.
• SQL experience (MSSQL, Postgres).
• Containerized environments and deployment tooling (Docker, Gradle).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools.
• Ability to work in a small team in a fast-paced environment.
• Desire to learn and contribute to the company.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and test assets; build automated tests.
• Contribute to expansion of automated testing capabilities and coverage.
• Explore AI-assisted testing strategies to enhance QE workflows.
• Evaluate AI/ML tooling to improve velocity and quality coverage.
• Instill QA best practices within the scrum team and test coverage.
• Write tests from abstract requirements for robust coverage.
• Provide feedback on product performance and UX.
• Participate in all Agile SDLC phases and planning sessions.
• Configure and verify CI builds in Jenkins and SonarQube.
• Review product documentation and release notes.
