Job summary

Point Digital Finance is hiring a Lead SDET to drive quality across a multi‑product fintech stack. You will design scalable automation, mentor engineers, and partner with product, design, and engineering leaders to embed quality from architecture to production.

This remote role requires strong JavaScript/TypeScript, Playwright/Selenium, and AI‑powered testing skills in a fast‑growing SaaS fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering with hands‑on test automation.
• Expert proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript; experience with Python, Ruby/Rails a plus.
• Deep expertise with modern automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress) across UI, API, and backend testing.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, CI/CD, and modern dev practices.
• Experience designing and evolving scalable automation frameworks and reusable testing solutions.
• Hands‑on experience leveraging AI/LLM‑powered tools to improve test generation and maintenance.
• Experience with cloud environments and modern developer tools, including GitHub Actions.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and the ability to write efficient SQL queries.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and influence engineering best practices across teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across Engineering, Product, and Design.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, backend services, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Drive adoption of modern testing practices to reduce test execution time and accelerate feedback cycles.
• Build reusable automation libraries, tooling, and workflows that improve productivity and reliability.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to improve testability and product quality.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve test speed, stability, and coverage.
• Define, track and analyze quality metrics, automation health, defect trends, and production issues.
• Leverage AI‑powered testing solutions to enhance test generation and maintenance.
• Lead cross‑team quality initiatives and provide technical guidance on best practices.
• Participate in design and code reviews to improve quality and maintainability.
• Mentor Quality Engineers and SDETs through guidance and code reviews.
