Job summary

Work Truck Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for a remote U.S.-based role. You will own end-to-end test automation, including Playwright with TypeScript, across dealer software, admin tools, and Comvoy.com.

You will leverage AI to write and expand tests while ensuring meaningful coverage and avoiding test bloat. You will mentor the QA team, collaborate with platform engineers, and drive testing in CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in test automation or software engineering in test
• Experience designing and owning an automation framework used by a whole team
• Hands-on AI experience in testing, including AI coding agents and prompts

Responsibilities

• Own the test automation strategy across unit, API, and end-to-end layers
• Decide what to test and maintain a lean, valuable suite
• Build and scale Playwright framework with TypeScript
• Use AI to write and expand tests, validate AI-generated tests, and reduce flaky tests
• Mentor QA engineers and uplift automation practices across teams
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable feedback
• Collaborate with developers to ensure testable code and stable UI tests
• Communicate clearly with a distributed team and stakeholders
