Job summary

Two Six Technologies in Arlington, VA seeks a Senior Software Development in Test to design and execute comprehensive tests across software and hardware interfaces, APIs, and AI-assisted code workflows.

Lead the development of reusable test frameworks, collaborate with engineering and field teams, and scale testing with CI/CD pipelines to ensure mission readiness and robust data flows across networks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems testing experience automating tests for software-hardware interfaces, APIs, or embedded systems.
• 3+ years building test frameworks, developer platforms, or CI/CD systems.
• 3+ years of system-level integration testing focusing on backend APIs and hardware/software ecosystems.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and distributed systems.
• Experience with UNIX / LINUX operating systems.
• Experience with SQL or relational/non-relational databases.
• Interest in AI-assisted coding tools for verifying code integrity.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production-grade test infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design reusable libraries and APIs to express tests with minimal scripting.
• Perform full-stack system testing via API endpoints, hardware interfaces, and diagnostic tooling.
• Develop functional, end-to-end, regression, and performance tests for software-hardware integration.
• Evaluate how hardware endpoints and data streams function together as a unified ecosystem.
• Maintain testing environments to mirror operational deployments.
• Assist in rolling out automated testing frameworks to scale manual tests.
• Design testing strategies to verify AI-assisted code development.
