Job summary

Remitly, Inc. is seeking a Senior SDE for the Trust Intelligence Platform to architect data infrastructure powering risk decisioning and ML engines.

You will lead high-throughput, fault-tolerant pipelines and next-generation feature stores, enabling rapid model deployment and automated retraining across a global scale. In this role you will mentor engineers, shape architectural decisions, and collaborate with data scientists and risk leadership to improve fraud detection while ensuring data

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Proven ability to design large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong background in data warehousing and modern data lake architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale distributed data systems and robust pipelines.
• Drive technical strategy for the risk data stack and storage patterns.
• Lead design of complex data models and feature delivery mechanisms.
• Innovate data integrity with anomaly and drift detection capabilities.
• Partner with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Risk leaders to build feature stores.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and set engineering standards.
