Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Software Development Engineer III for Prime Video Personalization & Discovery to own end-to-end components of a conversational discovery platform. You will design, build, and operate systems that combine large language models with personalization signals for scalable content discovery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation, and operation of core components of Prime Video's conversational discovery platform.
• Design hybrid approaches that combine LLM-based understanding with personalization signals for content discovery.
• Prototype, evaluate, and productionize LLM-powered features including conversational starters and multi-turn dialogue.
• Optimize LLM inference for latency, cost, and quality at scale.
• Build evaluation and quality gates for relevance, personalization, diversity, and safety of content.
• Contribute code, perform reviews, and raise engineering standards across the team.
• Maintain operational excellence for Tier-1 AI systems including on-call participation.
