Job summary

Amazon seeks a Software Development Engineer 2 for Prime Video Personalization and Discovery in New York. You will help build scalable services that rank and personalize video content across Prime Video experiences, handling millions of requests per second.

You will collaborate with engineers and scientists to move models from offline evaluation into production, design retrieval systems, and contribute to agile software delivery with experimentation tooling.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years in design or architecture of new or existing systems.
1+ years of software development engineer or related experience.
1+ years designing large-scale, multi-tiered or distributed software applications.
1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
Experience programming with at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

Build and scale services that select and rank content across Prime Video experiences.
Design retrieval and ranking systems with strict latency budgets.
Take ambiguous problems through design, launch, and A/B testing.
Collaborate with applied scientists to productionize models.
Improve platform tooling for retrieval paths and experimentation.
Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
