Amazon's Prime Video Personalization and Discovery is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to build the next generation of AI-powered content discovery. You will own end-to-end services that blend large language models with personalization signals at massive scale.

You will work with senior engineers and applied scientists to prototype, evaluate, and productionize features such as natural language queries, multi-turn dialogue, and contextual recommendations, while ensuring reliability

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.

Responsibilities

Own design, implementation, and operation of core components of Prime Video's conversational discovery platform.
Design hybrid approaches combining LLM-based understanding with personalization and ranking signals.
Prototype, evaluate, and productionize LLM-powered features including conversation starters and multi-turn dialogue.
Optimize LLM inference for latency, cost, and quality at scale.
Contribute code, conduct reviews, and raise engineering bar across the team.
Maintain operational excellence for Tier-1 AI systems including on-call activities.
