Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in a remote role covering CO, NV, AZ and Southern CA. You will partner with account teams to design VeloCloud SD-WAN solutions, gather WAN requirements, and craft proposals that meet customers' technical and business objectives.

The role requires 7+ years of pre-sales experience in data centers and WAN technologies, strong communication, and the ability to present technology and business value.

Qualifications

• BS/CS/CE technical degree or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 7+ years of pre-sales experience with data centers, campus, WAN technologies.
• Experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Networking Engineer in WAN space.
• Experience supporting sales on pre-sales calls with demos and technical context.
• Expert knowledge in Ethernet/LAN, IPSec, IP Routing (OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, VxLAN/EVPN, QoS, and SD-WAN.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Automation knowledge including REST API, Python scripting, Ansible is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account teams to provide technical systems engineering support for enterprise customers and channels.
• Identify SD-WAN opportunities and design solutions meeting technical and business objectives.
• Provide advanced support to drive sales of VeloCloud SD-WAN and campus solutions.
• Deliver presentations, demos, and participate in sales calls.
• Architect VeloCloud SD-WAN and Arista solutions including Dynamic Multipath Optimization and security.
• Position Arista SD-Branch architecture for branch deployments.
• Design integrated SD-WAN, campus, wireless, and security to enable Zero Trust Networking.
• Lead responses to RFIs/RFPs and sales proposals.
• Translate WAN requirements into design docs, SOWs, BOMs and support.
• Conduct PoC tests and provide technical training to prospects and partners.
• Handle escalations with engineering and support.
• Provide feedback to Engineering/Product Management on revenue-improving features.
• Represent Arista at events and partner presentations.
