Job summary

Navstar, Inc. is seeking an experienced Agile Lead in Annapolis, MD to guide one large or several small agile teams on a major software and hardware integration effort.

The roleEducates and coaches teams to follow agile processes, removes impediments, and promotes high-performing team dynamics. You will partner with Product Owners and System Engineers to craft user stories and drive continuous improvement in delivery within a strict security program.

Qualifications

• To be eligible for this position you must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• At least 8 (eight) years of relevant work experience, preferably on a large, technical program.
• Experience working as a software development or similar technical team.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or similar agile project management certification (PMI-ACP).
• Experience using agile project management tools (e.g. Jira, VersionOne, Rallye, IBM RTC).
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and time management skills are a must.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, across diverse systems and groups.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate self-organizing teams to make progress against Program Increment commitments.
• Protect the team from scope creep during execution of the PI.
• Remove impediments for the team and coordinate with Release Train Engineers on solutions.
• Help team members communicate, coordinate, and cooperate.
• Coach, support, and enforce Scrum process and other process rules.
• Ensure the team has a clear understanding of Definition of Done and how to meet it.
• Coordinate with other teams and communicate status to management.
• Work with Product Owners to review and prioritize features.
• Lead and facilitate ceremonies including Planning, Reviews with demos, Retrospectives, and PI Planning.
• Develop User Stories with Product Owners and System Engineers to meet acceptance criteria.
• Maintain and generate information radiators for the teams.
• Collect and share team metrics and drive improvements in metrics.
• Coach teams on continuous improvement and productivity.
