Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a versatile Scrum Master to manage O&M, enhancements, and IT development activities for DHS ICE in Northern Virginia. The role is onsite with potential for one telework day per week, requiring leadership of sprint/release activities and risk management.

Responsibilities include facilitating Scrum/Kanban ceremonies, maintaining JIRA boards, and coordinating across multiple contracts to ensure cohesive product delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science or related field.
• 9+ years of experience in IT or software development.
• Experience leading Scrum teams in Agile environments.
• Current Scrum Master certification.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple IT projects and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
• Manage JIRA board and product backlog for sprint execution.
• Coordinate across multiple development contracts to ensure cohesive delivery.
• Improve transparency and information sharing among teams and stakeholders.
• Identify and remove impediments to enable on-time releases.
• Track team velocity and progress; maintain agile process docs.
