Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a versatile Scrum Master to manage O&M and IT development activities for DHS ICE. The role is onsite in Northern Virginia, with potential for one telework day per week. You will lead agile ceremonies, manage JIRA backlog, and ensure team accountability.

Candidates should have 9+ years in agile settings and a current Scrum Master certification. The position requires 5 days in office, strong communication, and ability to interface with government personnel; competitive salary

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in agile environments leading scrum teams
• Current Scrum Master certification
• Experience delivering IT projects in production environments
• Excellent communication and meeting facilitation skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with diverse IT projects

Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning
• Manage JIRA board and backlog for sprint execution
• Coordinate cross-contract dialogue to ensure cohesive final product
• Enhance transparency via internal/external communications
• Oversee parallel application development and project/product implementation
• Assist team with story selection, task definition and impediment removal
• Prevent distractions to meet release goals and drive potentially shippable increments
• Track velocity and sprint progress, maintain agile documentation
• Update agile tracking systems and support Development/Project Managers
• Work with Product Owners on decomposition and backlog refinement
• Interface with internal and Government personnel
