Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC seeks a Scrum Master to lead agile delivery for VA modernization initiatives. This role guides multiple concurrent Scrum teams, removes impediments, and ensures predictable delivery with clear visibility into progress and risks.

You will manage Jira boards, facilitate ceremonies, and collaborate with Product Owners, engineers, QA, and program leadership. The position emphasizes cross‑team coordination, data‑driven improvement, and mentoring junior Scrum Masters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in Agile delivery with hands-on Scrum Master experience.
• Experience supporting multiple Scrum teams and cross-team dependencies.
• Advanced Jira experience including boards, workflows, dashboards, and reporting.
• Ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies and cross-team coordination.
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Federal/VA project delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Scrum Master for multiple concurrent Scrum teams across projects.
• Plan and facilitate sprint planning, daily Scrums, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives; keep sessions focused and time-boxed.
• Own the day-to-day health of Jira boards, including workflows, dashboards, and reporting views.
• Partner with Product Owners to maintain prioritized, actionable backlogs with clear acceptance criteria.
• Track commitments, blockers, risks, and surface issues early for resolution.
• Coordinate dependencies across teams and shared resources.
• Facilitate Scrum-of-Scrums and cross-team planning when work spans multiple teams.
• Use metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Coach teams on Scrum values, self-management, and effective retrospectives.
• Coach Product Owners on backlog quality and sprint goals.
• Remove impediments and escalate organizational barriers as needed.
• Connect sprint execution to release objectives with transparent capacity and forecast.
• Mentor junior Scrum Masters and share reusable ceremony guides.
