Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is seeking a Scrum Master to coach, guide and facilitate an energetic team delivering high-quality software and services to customers. You will serve as a liaison between delivery teams, product management and leadership.

You will lead agile ceremonies, maintain a prioritized backlog, remove blockers, and support cross-team dependencies while promoting continuous improvement and scalable agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or a technical discipline is required.
• Certification or progress toward certification (CSM, SSM) is highly preferred and encouraged.
• Seven years of progressive responsibility as a scrum master/agile project manager in an insurance environment.
• Proven experience as a scrum master on several successful software development projects involving multiple developers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as scrum master for one or more agile teams and facilitate ceremonies.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and participate in Agile Community of Practice.
• Escalate issues requiring executive attention and promote organizational initiatives.
• Balance workload to optimize project development and management.
• Provide planning, coordination and management for organizational initiatives.
