Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan seeks a seasoned Scrum Master to coach and facilitate agile delivery, acting as a bridge between the product delivery team, product managers and senior leadership. You will lead one or more agile teams, maintain a robust backlog, and ensure high-quality software delivery while removing blockers.

The role requires seven years in an insurance environment, strong communication, and preferably CSM/SSM certification.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline required.
Certification or progress toward certification (CSM, SSM) preferred.
Seven years of progressive responsibility as a scrum master/agile project manager in an insurance environment.
Proven experience as a scrum master on several successful software development projects involving multiple developers.

Responsibilities

Lead one or more agile teams as the scrum master and team member.
Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, sprint demos, and refactoring sessions.
Maintain a robust, prioritized backlog with Product Manager/Owner.
Coach and support teams to remove blockers quickly.
Coordinate cross-team dependencies and participate in an Agile Community of Practice.
Balance workload to optimize project development and management.
Communicate team status to stakeholders and refine metrics.
