Job summary

Sotalent is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to lead multiple cross-functional Agile delivery teams in a fully remote role across the United States. You will coach teams in Scrum, Kanban and Lean, help remove impediments, and partner with Product Owners to align backlog with business goals.

The role emphasizes servant leadership, continuous improvement, and scaled delivery using SAFe or Scrum@Scale frameworks. Strong facilitation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working within Scrum teams.
• 5+ years applying Lean principles and continuous improvement.
• 1+ year in a scaled Agile environment (SAFe or Scrum@Scale).
• Strong communication, facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Advanced Agile certification from Scrum Alliance, Scrum Inc., Scrum.org or ICAgile preferred.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro and Microsoft 365.

Senior Scrum Master – Agile Delivery & Scaled Frameworks

Location: Remote, United States

Job type: Full-time

Salary: $93,937–$159,693 per year

Role Overview

A Senior Scrum Master is needed to lead and support multiple cross-functional Agile development teams, helping them improve delivery, remove obstacles and consistently achieve business outcomes.

This role combines servant leadership, Agile coaching and scaled delivery, with a focus on building high-performing teams, continuous improvement and effective collaboration across technical and business functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor multiple teams in Lean, Agile, Scrum and Kanban principles.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives and other Agile events.
• Identify and remove delivery impediments, escalating wider organisational barriers where necessary.
• Partner with Product Owners to align product vision, priorities, customer needs and backlog readiness.
• Establish and improve team working agreements, definitions of ready and done, and delivery practices.
• Promote continuous improvement and a Kaizen mindset across teams.
• Support organisational change using ADKAR and other change management approaches.
• Coordinate cross-team planning, delivery synchronisation, dependencies and scaled Agile events.
• Empower teams and leaders to solve problems and improve their own performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Agile, Project Management or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience working within Scrum teams.
• At least 5 years of experience applying Lean principles and continuous improvement practices.
• At least 1 year of experience in a scaled Agile environment, ideally Scrum@Scale or SAFe.
• Strong communication, facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work effectively in changing and ambiguous environments.
• Advanced Agile certification from Scrum Alliance, Scrum Inc., Scrum.org or ICAgile preferred.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro and Microsoft 365 advantageous.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and technical environments such as ERP, warehouse management, financial systems or data warehouses is beneficial.
