Job summary

Hadco Construction is seeking a skilled scraper operator to support excavation and heavy civil projects in Lehi, Utah. You will work with other operators to load, grade, and coordinate with crew leaders while following safety protocols.

The role offers full-time hours with overtime; benefits after 60 days and competitive pay of $17.50–$27.00 per hour DOE. A valid driver license with a clean MVR is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver license and clean MVR.
• Must be able to show proof of age over 18, identity and right to work in the US.
• Must be able to pass drug screen.
• 3+ years or more experience operating scraper is required.
• Must be familiar with the operation and minor maintenance of scrapers.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Able to take orders and follow directions.
• Willing to learn to operate other types of heavy equipment.
• Must be able to lift, carry and transfer 100+ pounds frequently and perform considerable stooping, kneeling and digging.
• Must be able to work on scaffolding.

Responsibilities

• Minor maintenance and care of equipment.
• Able to load and dump dirt properly.
• Properly checks, lubricates and fuels any equipment that is asked to use.
• Communicates with other operators and grade checkers in cuts and fills.
• Understands machines limitations in different field conditions.
• Operate hand tools as necessary to complete the project.
• Set up and put away job equipment.
• Proper care and use of hand tools.
• Assist in the cleaning of tools, equipment and work areas.
• Report any unsafe condition, accident or injury to crew leader.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by crew leader.
