Job summary

MSP, a division of TSI, seeks a Senior Scientist to design, develop, and support Vaporizers, Filters, and Liquid Flow Controllers for Semiconductor process equipment. You will guide technology roadmaps, work with multi-disciplinary teams, and help advance vaporization and flow control tech.

The role requires expert thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and multiphase flow knowledge, plus ALD/CVD familiarity, lab safety experience, and strong modeling skills.

Qualifications

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics or Materials Science.
• Expert knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, flow modeling and heat transfer for single-phase flows and multiphase systems.
• Knowledge of chemistry including molecular classification, chemical compatibility and decomposition reactions.
• Experience with chemical safety programs and MSDS procedures.
• Experience with ALD, CVD, PECVD processes preferred.
• Strong experimental skills, rigorous documentation and reporting.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Visual Basic.
• Ability to develop product requirements for instruments and generate IP.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and provide technical support for Vaporizers, Filters, and Liquid Flow Controllers.
• Define technical requirements, feasibility, and technology roadmaps for future products.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams across software, hardware, and algorithms.
• Lead or contribute to safety programs for vaporization and liquid flow control work.
• Publish papers and generate patent applications related to measurement needs.
• Engage with industry and academic colleagues and participate in technical committees.
