Job summary

Immunai, a startup integrating immunology and AI, seeks a Senior Scientist/ Scientist II, Systems Immunologist in New York, NY (Hybrid). You will drive data-driven insights across cancer immunology and autoimmunity projects, collaborating with translational teams and external partners.

The role requires a Ph.D. in immunology, 3–6 years of related experience, hands-on single-cell RNA sequencing, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in immunology or closely related field is required.
• 3–6 years of related postdoc or industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with single-cell RNA sequencing, coding and data analysis in R (preferred) or Python.
• Experience with multimodal single-cell data such as CITE-seq, TCR/BCR-seq, or spatial approaches is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and time-management abilities; able to multitask.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an immunology subject-matter expert on internal and external collaboration projects.
• Contribute to the External Collaborations dry lab team of Systems Immunologists & Computational Biologists.
• Lead project planning with clear goals, activities, and timelines.
• Translate data analyses into biological insights to inform drug development.
• Shape Immunai’s bioinformatic platforms to reflect immunological insights.
• Communicate concepts to external stakeholders via presentations and reports.
• Perform literature reviews to stay current in immunology, immunotherapies, and single-cell technologies.
• Advise computational teams on immunology matters.
