Qualifications

• PhD in chemistry, pharmaceutical science, material science, or related field with a minimum of 3 years postdoctoral experience in a pharma or biopharma environment.
• In-depth experience with solid-state characterization instruments: XRPD, DSC, TGA.
• Expertise in polymorphism and salt selection; understanding of powder and particle properties.

Responsibilities

• Lead polymorphism studies, including polymorph screening, in-depth physical characterization and thermodynamic assessment.
• Design and conduct salt selection studies and stability assessments.
• Act as the solid-state representative on development projects to deploy solid-form strategy.
• Develop and implement analytical methods using XRPD, DSC, TGA, SEM, Raman, IR, and laser granulometry.
• Provide physical characterization support to internal partner teams.
• Use computational tools to perform crystal structure prediction studies.
• Generate technical reports and present findings to teams and management.
• Foster collaboration within cross-functional project teams and adapt innovative analytical approaches, including AI/modeling integration.
