Job summary

MSD in Rahway, NJ seeks a Senior Scientist to lead small molecule process development, tech transfer, and scale-up for late-stage projects. You will perform bench and kilo-lab work, apply QbD and DOE methodologies, and ensure cGMP compliance in a collaborative team environment.

The role requires a PhD or BS/MS in Chemical Engineering with strong experimental and regulatory experience, plus ability to drive cross-functional discussions and project leadership.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering with relevant process development experience.
• Experience in chemical process development, design of experiments and scale-up.
• Familiarity with cGMP and regulatory filing processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe, robust manufacturing processes for late-stage projects.
• Lead technology transfer to pilot and commercial facilities.
• Perform hands-on lab and kilo-lab experimentation.
• Contribute to risk assessments and GDP compliance.
• Assist with regulatory filing planning and execution.
