Job summary
AbbVie in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Senior Scientist I/II to join the siRNA group in Biotherapeutics and Genetic Medicine. You will design and execute experiments to advance RNA-based therapies and enable siRNA delivery for ex-hepatic pipelines, collaborating across functions to accelerate programs.
The role requires strong molecular biology expertise, in vitro/in vivo assays, and a track record of delivering high-quality results.
Qualifications
- PhD/MS/BS with extensive experience in designing and executing in vitro and in vivo studies of siRNA delivery platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional efforts to advance ex-hepatic siRNA therapeutics development.
- Design and evaluate ex-hepatic siRNA delivery platforms for targeted tissues.
- Conceive and execute proof-of-concept experiments to validate hypotheses.
- Develop in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo assays for siRNA candidates.
- Work independently with high productivity and scientific rigor.
- Interpret multidisciplinary data to guide future experiments.
- Acquire deep knowledge of RNA biology and siRNA therapeutics.
- Communicate results with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to publications and patent applications as needed.
- Mentor junior scientists within the team.
