Job summary

AbbVie’s Biotherapeutic and Genetic Medicine (BGM) department is seeking a Senior Scientist to support automation-enabled high-throughput siRNA screening and data analysis, accelerating lead discovery across therapeutic areas.

The role collaborates with platform teams to build scalable workflows, mentor scientists, and contribute to standardization and reproducibility in a collaborative lab environment.

Qualifications

• PhD/MS/BS with biotech/pharma experience as listed in the qualifications.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with lab automation and high-throughput workflows.
• Experience with RNA extraction and RT-qPCR development.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-throughput siRNA screening workflows using automated liquid handling and other automation systems.
• Develop and optimize automated RNA extraction, RT-qPCR, and RNA-seq library preparation workflows.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate siRNA activity, potency, and selectivity.
• Establish and maintain data analysis workflows for screening datasets and gene expression profiling.
