Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Sr. Scientist to execute hands-on laboratory experiments and contribute to new product and application development. The role involves planning and executing studies per Avantor processes, preparing SOPs, and analyzing results in a GLP-compliant setting.

Strong emphasis on synthesis, polymer chemistry and instrument proficiency, with safety as a priority. Ph.D. with post-doctoral experience is required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with post-doctoral experience required.
• Hands-on execution of chemical laboratory experiments.
• GLP/GMP familiarity preferred.
• Experience in synthesis, purification and characterization of molecules and polymers.
• Preparation of protocols, SOPs and analytical methods.
• Experience planning and performing lab experiments and reporting results.
• Familiarity with lab instruments and MS Office.
• Experience with safe laboratory practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory experiments and contribute to procedure design.
• Plan and perform material synthesis, purification and analysis.
• Prepare SOPs and analytical test methods for experiments.
• Document procedures and observations accurately.
• Maintain lab area and equipment per SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Support development of new products and applications.
