Job description

Job Title: Senior Scientist/Principal Investigator, Bioanalytical Services

Location: Exton, PA (Corporate)

Responsibilities:

1. Validate unique scientific methods, assays, techniques, reports, etc. and run sensitive, reliable, and efficient LC-MS/MS bioanalytical assays for TK/PK assessment.
2. Perform high-volume sample analysis and data interpretation, including data QC.
3. Maintain project schedules and timelines.
4. Communicate project status, timelines, and data effectively with the Principal Investigator, addressing any issues.
5. Manage method development and routine sample analysis projects, coordinating with the Principal Investigator to ensure quality and efficiency.
6. Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Coordinate with Project Management and QC for timely sample analysis and results assessment.
8. Assist in preparing study summaries and reports.
9. Ensure regulatory compliance for each study and address QA audit findings.
10. Maintain tools, computer programs, and SOPs for studies; research literature for new techniques to enhance capabilities.
11. Contribute to training and mentoring junior staff, ensuring adherence to GLP regulations and SOPs.
12. Set up, utilize, and maintain complex instrumentation, following safety precautions.
13. Oversee bioanalytical study conduct, timelines, and communication as the primary study contact.
14. Manage all technical aspects of study conduct, including sample receipt, analysis, reporting, archiving, and sample disposition.
15. Lead discussions on method development, validation, and sample analysis.
16. Supervise and mentor laboratory scientists on projects and results.
17. Collaborate with support teams to deliver quality results on time.

Education and Requirements:

1. Knowledge of experimental design, data collection, and analysis software.
2. Experience with Sciex Analyst software and Watson LIMS is advantageous.
3. Proven teamwork and excellent communication skills.
4. Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related field with 1-2+ years of experience, OR Master’s with 4+ years, OR Bachelor’s with 6+ years of experience.
