Scientist - Flow Cytometry

Title: Scientist

Location: Exton, PA

Full-time

Frontage Laboratories Inc. is an award-winning, full-service CRO/Contract Research Organization operating over 25 state-of-the-art laboratories across the US, Canada, and China. Our core competencies include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist with experience in flow cytometry to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in executing and analyzing experiments related to cellular analysis under the guidance of the team lead. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge drug development in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Position Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and optimize flow cytometry protocols for detecting and quantifying specific cellular markers and analytes.
  2. Perform sample preparation, staining, data acquisition, and analysis using flow cytometry platforms.
  3. Ensure adherence to quality control measures, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals, provide scientific expertise, and develop new assays and methodologies.
  5. Maintain accurate records of experiments, protocols, and results in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  6. Participate in training and supervising junior staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Position Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience in designing, executing, and analyzing flow cytometry experiments, including multi-panel design, compensation, and gating strategies.
  • Experience with cell-based assays and knowledge of cellular markers, surface antigens, and intracellular targets.
  • Hands-on experience with flow cytometry instruments (e.g., BD FACSCanto, FACSLyric, BC Navios, CytoFLEX, Cytek Aurora).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and template design for multiparameter flow cytometry panels using platforms like FlowJo, Kaluza, or FCSExpress.
  • Experience performing ligand binding assays, including optimization, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional work.
