Job summary

Swiss American CDMO in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead the formulation of personal care products and develop innovative delivery systems. You will ensure formulas meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements while exploring creative approaches.

You will mentor scientists, manage pre-formulation through scale-up, collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, QA, and Client Services, and stay ahead of market trends in ingredients and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry/engineering or related field with 10+ years' formulation experience.
• Proven track record in topical formulations, R&D, and ingredient interactions in cosmetics.
• Working knowledge of FDA regulations and cGMP.
• Strong knowledge of skin care formulation chemistry and OTC/personal care products.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to change.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create formulas independently and validate stability.
• Lead bench trials to evaluate new and alternative materials and scale-up.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for product development and QA.
• Mentor scientists and provide technical direction.
• Prepare documentation adhering to GLP or similar standards.
