Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL seeks a Senior Scientist I – Peptide Analytical Chemistry to conceive, develop, and execute analytical methods for peptide drug substance and drug product across preclinical and clinical spaces.

You will collaborate across the global Analytical R&D organization and with cross-functional partners to advance DP/DS projects, perform method development and validation, and contribute to regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum degrees as listed; PhD preferred for senior analytical focus.
• Strong background in peptides and small-molecule analytics.
• Ability to independently develop and troubleshoot complex methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead peptide DP formulation development with analytical support.
• Provide analytical expertise for diverse peptide formulations.
• Develop and implement drug product analytical strategies.
• Support substance characterization to inform formulations.
• Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods and data packages.
• Utilize analytical techniques to profile impurities and products.
