Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Scientist in Computational Biology for Oncology Translational Research. You will analyze complex multimodal omics and biomarker data to inform oncology clinical development, collaborating with Translational Research Leaders, Clinical Development, Biostatistics, and Data Science teams.

The role requires a PhD in a quantitative field with 1–3 years of relevant industry experience, deep expertise in R and Python, and strong knowledge of cancer biology and trial

Qualifications

  • PhD in a quantitative field with 1–3 years of pharma/biotech experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in R; experience with Python, Unix/Linux, shell scripting, version control, and high-throughput sequencing analyses.
  • Strong oncology translational/clinical-development knowledge; biomarker applications and clinical-trial concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze multimodal oncology biomarker data and associated clinical outcomes (DNA/RNA sequencing, flow cytometry, proteomics, single-cell and spatial transcriptomics).
  • Identify, validate and evaluate pharmacodynamic, prognostic, predictive, and resistance biomarkers by integrating molecular, pathological, and clinical data.
  • Communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams and contribute to publications and presentations.
