Regeneron Genetic Medicines seeks a Senior Associate Scientist to advance solid-phase oligomer and oligonucleotide synthesis, purification, and analytical characterization. Qualifications

• BS in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, biology or related discipline; MS preferred.
• 5+ years with BS / 3+ years with MS in relevant research or industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with solid-phase organic synthesis is preferred, especially oligonucleotide/ oligomer workflows.

Responsibilities

• Execute solid-phase oligomer and oligonucleotide synthesis using automated platforms.
• Synthesize RNA-related constructs of varied lengths and modifications for discovery and platform development.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot synthesis workflows for yield, purity, and efficiency.
• Purify synthesized oligomers using SEC, AEX, RP-HPLC or RP-IP-HPLC techniques.
• Characterize materials with LC-MS, HPLC/UPLC, UV-Vis to confirm identity and purity.
• Interpret data, summarize findings, and propose next steps for chemistry design.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with instrument maintenance and inventory.
• Collaborate with chemists, biologists, and analytics teams to advance RGM Chemistry goals.
