Illumina is seeking an experienced Staff Scientist to advance molecular diagnostics and precision oncology through development of next-generation sequencing assays. You will lead technical workstreams in a fast-paced product development environment, mentoring scientists and shaping study design, data analysis, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong background in molecular biology, genomics, assay development and NGS technologies.
• Experience leading complex scientific projects and influencing cross-functional decisions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional collaboration experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical workstreams for development of NGS-based oncology assays in a fast-paced setting.
• Serve as scientific lead for study design, execution, analysis, and reporting of results.
• Lead verification and validation activities per CLSI guidelines and quality requirements.
• Mentor junior scientists through experimental design, data analysis, and documentation.
• Present findings and risk assessments to teams and senior leadership.
• Author and review technical documentation and risk assessments.
