Job summary
Illumina, Inc. is seeking a Staff Scientist in the United States to lead complex technical workstreams for oncology assay development and to guide study design, execution, and interpretation of results.

Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s; 6 years with a Master’s; or a PhD with 3 years of experience
- Experience leading complex scientific projects and influencing technical decisions across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong written and verbal communication and ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
Responsibilities
- Lead complex scientific workstreams for development of NGS-based oncology assays and products
- Serve as scientific lead for study design, execution, analysis, and interpretation of results
- Lead verification and validation activities per CLSI guidelines and quality systems
- Mentor junior scientists through technical coaching and study design guidance
