Job summary

Abbott in Madison, WI seeks a Sr. Scientist to lead bench-level research within the Cancer Diagnostics Division. You will collaborate with senior scientists to plan projects, execute methods, and interpret data, becoming a technical lead on one or more programs.

You will mentor junior scientists and help develop innovative NGS-based assays for clinical oncology, ensuring quality and regulatory alignment while driving project milestones.

Qualifications

• PhD in Life Sciences or related field; or MS with 4+ years of related experience; or BA/BS with 6 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead bench-level experiments across product/technology areas.
• Mentor junior scientists and guide project teams.
• Analyze data, interpret results, and communicate findings at meetings.
• Develop and optimize NGS-based workflows for clinical samples.
• Prepare reports and contribute to publications and abstracts.
