Job summary

Amgen seeks a Business Owner for Molecular Biology Scientific Data to lead digital tools and data platforms supporting cloning workflows and construct design. You will connect scientists with data and technology teams, translating complex needs into scalable capabilities.

You will define data models, collaborate across teams, and own data representations for constructs, plasmids, and related experiments, enabling downstream automation and ML-enabled discovery.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or related field required.
• Hands-on cloning or construct-design experience in biotech environment.
• Experience translating scientific workflows into informatics tools and data models.
• Experience leading requirements reviews and user acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead scientific requirements reviews and coordinate user training and acceptance testing.
• Translate scientific needs into data and workflow requirements for software engineers and business analysts.
• Define data models and data linkages across applications; ensure integration with other systems.
• Oversee design, implementation, testing, and release of tools supporting molecular biology workflows.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with data and technology teams.
