Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Scientist Business Owner for the molecular biology data domain to lead digital tools and workflows supporting cloning and construct design in biologics discovery. You will translate scientific needs into data models, system requirements, and scalable capabilities while partnering with scientists and software teams to deliver value.

You will own data relationships, drive cross-team implementation, and ensure data quality.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or equivalent with strong molecular biology background.
• Experience designing and managing molecular cloning workflows and plasmid constructs.
• Experience translating scientific workflows into data models and informatics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead meetings with scientists to define data and workflow needs.
• Translate scientific concepts into data requirements and system specs.
• Collaborate with software and data teams through design, testing, release, and adoption.
• Ensure data models support cloning workflows and construct design.
• Define cross-system data linkages and maintain data quality.
• Coordinate acceptance testing and user training for new capabilities.
