Job Summary

We are looking for a Scientist II to join our team in Holmdel.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and execute complex technical work for go-to-market, proactive, and analytical projects under the guidance of technical leaders.
2. Provide key technical support to project teams and lead small scope projects internally or externally.
3. Develop technical insights and recommendations to support project decision-making, category strategy, and customer propositions, highlighting IFF product advantages.

Innovation and Technical Responsibility

1. Develop new innovations in Home Care and Air Care categories.
2. Collaborate with R&D and other departments to understand performance technology and introduce new products to global creative teams.
3. Design and conduct complex technical work in air care and home care applications (e.g., cleaners, wipes, disinfectants, cat litter).
4. Support project teams technically and lead small projects both internally and externally.
5. Define critical partnerships with external suppliers to support key programs and initiatives.
6. Drive IP strategy to maximize IFF’s competitive position.
7. Consult management to obtain necessary resources or expertise.
8. Work with multidisciplinary departments such as R&D, Sales, Perfumery, and Marketing/CI.
9. Visit customers with team members to listen to issues and suggest solutions.
10. Execute project components within specified timelines.
11. Anticipate the impact of new trends in base formulation due to innovation, regulation, or convenience, and suggest studies or alternative solutions.

1. Enhance team performance through leadership, goal setting, coaching, and development.
2. Identify and develop talent to elevate technical, innovation, and leadership skills.
3. Suggest and implement process improvements to reduce time and costs or increase performance.
