Socket.dev in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Scientist (R3) to lead assay development and biomarker data generation across neuroscience programs.

You will design, optimize, and automate high‑throughput immunoassays and NGS workflows, collaborating with data scientists to deliver robust datasets.

This on‑site role requires hands‑on leadership and cross‑functional collaboration to translate biomarker readouts into pipeline decisions for neurodegeneration and pain.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant STEM field with hands-on experience.
• Experience in biomarker assay development in large cohorts.
• Hands-on experience with ultra-sensitive, multiplexed immunoassays (e.g., O-link) and NGS workflows.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and deliver high-quality biomarker datasets from human and preclinical samples.
• Lead design and qualification of biomarker methods and automation tools.
• Collaborate with data scientists for high-fidelity, analyzable data.
• Work on-site in the lab and summarize results for partners.
• Contribute to data packages enabling pipeline governance decisions.
• Pilot and automate novel high-throughput biomarker discovery methods.
