Job summary

Biogen is seeking a Senior Scientist to join the Chemical Process Development group in Cambridge, MA. You will lead laboratory experiments, analyze data, and design scalable chemical processes for APIs used in clinical and commercial programs.

You will mentor junior scientists, manage vendor relationships, and contribute to cross-functional collaborations to advance assets toward manufacturing. The role includes global collaboration and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in laboratory chemical synthesis and analysis.
• Strong project management and vendor coordination.
• Familiar with analytical instrumentation and Process Analytical Technology.
• Experience moving assets from R&D to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and run experiments to design scalable chemical processes.
• Analyze data and write reports and procedures.
• Mentor junior scientists and collaborate with CDMOs.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
