Job summary

SystImmune, Inc. in Redmond, WA, is seeking a Senior Scientist in the Cell Science Department to develop and optimize CHO-based production processes for biotherapeutics.

This role emphasizes bench work, clone screening, and high-yield strategies in a fast-growing biotech environment. The candidate will collaborate across R&D and manufacturing, write SOPs and regulatory reports, and contribute to a robust preclinical and clinical pipeline.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Cell Biology or related field with 5+ years of pharma/biotech experience.
• Strong background in recombinant protein expression, cell line development, metabolism, and media optimization.
• Experience in upstream process development and bioreactor operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute cell line development workflows including vector design, transfection, clone screening, and stable expression selection.
• Perform mammalian cell culture experiments under sterile, aseptic conditions.
• Develop and optimize expression systems and amplification strategies for high-yield production.
• Characterize clones for productivity, stability, growth, and product quality with molecular and biochemical assays.
• Collaborate with R&D, process development, and manufacturing for tech transfers and scalable culture processes.
• Write and review SOPs and regulatory documentation for filings.
• Support cGMP documentation and process transfer activities.
