Job summary

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s Taosheng Chen Lab seeks a collaborative Scientist or Senior Scientist with expertise in cell biology, molecular biology, and chemical biology to lead efforts developing and characterizing chemical probes targeting PXR and CAR.

The role requires independent study design, data generation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration with structural biologists and medicinal chemists to advance projects and publish high-impact manuscripts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific area is required.
A PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, chemical biology, pharmacology, or a related field is strongly preferred.
Strong track record of high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities

Conducts experiments/projects independently under overall direction of the PI and/or senior scientist.
Develops new research protocols, techniques and procedures.
Identifies experimental data pertinent to the analysis problem and reports results with data quality.
May publish as co-author and draft sections of research manuscripts.
Provides lab operation support and makes recommendations on equipment and maintenance.
Regularly trains and oversees the work of others in laboratory techniques.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
