Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Senior Scientist, Biotherapeutics, to join our team in Leiden, the Netherlands.

In this role, you will contribute to cell culture process development within the therapeutic protein process development group in Malvern, PA.

About Your Skills and Experience

Qualifications

Education:

A minimum of a Master's Degree in Biological Sciences, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering with 6 years of experience is required, or a PhD with 3 years of experience preferred.

Experience and Skills:

• Hands-on experience with laboratory-scale cell culture bioreactor equipment and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of large molecule drug substance (API) upstream manufacturing process development.
• Knowledge of cell culture media characterization and/or optimization.
• Familiarity with or hands-on experience with analytical methods used in the manufacture and characterization of recombinant proteins is preferred.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and possess good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience maintaining detailed laboratory records (paper or electronic).
• Ability to report data and present findings to management.
• Experience with team-based collaboration and management of staff.
• Willingness to work occasionally on weekends and travel domestically or internationally.
