Associate Scientist/Scientist - Biologics - BDDS

Location: Full Time, Exton, PA

Biologics Division:

Our biologics team has extensive experience in complex drug development, working with large molecule applications such as peptides, proteins, monoclonal antibodies, biosimilars, oligonucleotides, biomarkers, and antibody-drug conjugates. We offer comprehensive services to support advanced biologics development, capable of analyzing various peptides, proteins, or antibodies, with a reputation for solving technical challenges in assay development and validation.

Position Summary:

This is a technical scientific position within the Biologics Service Team, responsible for conducting bioanalytical methods related to Pharmacokinetics (PK) and Anti-drug Antibody (ADA) assays for large molecule biotherapeutics across all therapeutic areas, from nonclinical studies to post-market clinical development. The scientist will interpret data from bioanalytical samples, assist with assay development, validation, troubleshooting, and perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Qualification and preparation of controls and reagents for PK and ADA assays to quantify therapeutic proteins.
  2. Assist with assay validations and routine laboratory operations.
  3. Maintain electronic lab notebooks and participate in GLP compliance activities.
  4. Perform duties with some supervision, collaborating effectively with team members to meet priorities, checkpoints, and timelines.
  5. Communicate effectively with internal and external team members regarding assigned tasks.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biochemistry, biomarker, molecular biology, or a related field.
  2. Experience in immunoassay development and validation in a GLP-compliant environment (21CFR part 11).
  3. Experience with Meso Scale Discovery (MSD) immunoassays or ELISA.
  4. Experience in a biopharma company, CRO, or diagnostic lab setting.

Safety and Working Considerations:

  • Potential work with infectious human and/or animal samples.
  • Handling of hazardous chemicals.
