Job summary

Myana in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead assay development for biomarker discovery in neuroscience. The role focuses on designing and optimizing high-dimensional biomarker assays from human and preclinical samples to support Go/No-Go decisions in neurodegeneration and pain programs.

You will drive automation and high-throughput methodologies, collaborate with data scientists, and deliver robust datasets for regulatory-grade biomarker qualification.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in relevant STEM with required years of experience.
• Biomarker assay development in large-scale human cohorts from in vivo/in vitro studies.
• Experience with ultra-sensitive, multiplexed immunoassays (e.g. Olink) and NGS workflows.
• Experience implementing lab automation tools and liquid handlers for high-throughput datasets.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of clinical assay validation parameters and FDA/ICH guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality biomarker datasets from observational human and preclinical samples.
• Lead design and qualification of fit-for-purpose biomarker methods and ultra-sensitive immunoassays.
• Collaborate with data scientists to ensure automated workflows yield high-fidelity data.
• Summarize data and status of results with internal and external partners.
• Contribute to data packages enabling governance decisions for pipeline programs.
• Identify and pilot high-throughput methodologies for biomarker discovery, including robotic handling and single-cell sequencing.
