Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead regulated bioanalysis projects within the QTAS department.

The role focuses on managing studies across the bioanalytical lifecycle, data review, and report writing for GLP nonclinical and clinical studies. The candidate will oversee LC-MS workflows, troubleshoot complex instruments, and collaborate across Preclinical Safety and Clinical Pharmacology.

Qualifications

• PhD with zero years' experience, MS 8 years, or BS 10+ years in pharma or CRO required.
• Experience with regulated bioanalysis support in the drug development process.
• Experience with regulatory guidelines for bioanalysis in a regulated environment (ALCOA).
• Experience developing and validating bioanalytical methods for small, large molecules and peptides.
• Experience with AB Sciex triple quadrupole mass spectrometers or equivalents.
• Experience with LIMS, Analyst/Sciex OS software, and AB Sciex systems.
• Experience with Shimadzu HPLC instruments or equivalents.
• Experience with Hamilton Starlet is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to manage multiple projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sample analysis of AbbVie assets for nonclinical and clinical trials per regulatory requirements.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders on deliverables and priorities.
• Maintain awareness of trends in separations and mass spectrometry; troubleshoot systems.
• Author and approve method documents for regulated analysis and papers for publication.
• Provide expertise in cutting-edge assay technologies and assay troubleshooting.
