Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago seeks a highly motivated scientist for the Non-regulated Bioanalysis Team. This lab-based role emphasizes LC/MS-based bioanalysis to support pipeline preclinical studies and develop custom methodologies for complex modalities.

You will lead method development, troubleshoot assays, mentor junior scientists, and stay current with analytical science advances in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• PhD/MS/BS in analytical chemistry with relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of LCMS methodology and quantitative science.
• Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS platforms and software.

Responsibilities

• Support method development for quantitative bioanalysis.
• Investigate and implement new analytical methodologies.
• Troubleshoot instrument and assay issues promptly.
• Operate and maintain LC/MS instruments; document studies.
• Stay current with literature in analytical science.
• Mentor junior scientists.
