Job summary

Liquid I.V. is seeking a hands-on R&D Senior Scientist to join the Product Development team in El Segundo, CA.

The role focuses on core expansion and continuous improvement of our beverage solutions, coordinating with cross-functional partners to translate formulations into scalable product platforms. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on formulation experience, strong data-driven decision making, and the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in food science or related field highly desired.
• 3–5 years of progressive growth experience in food or supplement CPG; startup experience a plus.
• Consumer-focused product development with a track record of creating innovative products for leading brands.
• Deep technical expertise in beverages, powder mixes, nutritional supplements, flavor design, and formulation management.
• Strong knowledge of food science, nutrition, manufacturing processes, QA, and product commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Support formulation and optimization of products to meet nutritional, sensory, regulatory, or cost targets.
• Collaborate with Sensory team to evaluate prototypes against benchmarks.
• Partner with technical commercialization to ensure transfer of formulations to manufacturing sites.
• Develop technical specs for raw materials, blends, and finished products with cross-functional input.
• Plan and execute stability studies and analyze data to guide updates.
