Qualifications

Job Description
The Sr. Scientist/PM will assist their assigned Managing Consultant with executing tasks, producing high-quality work on time, and coordinating with team members. The role supports the success of the entire practice area, regardless of specific client engagements. The Sr. Scientist/PM will perform tasks that model the company's core values, fostering empowerment, learning, and creativity among the team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct subsurface investigations and environmental remediation work.
  • Plan and perform multi-media sampling.
  • Oversee subcontractor work.
  • Write detailed environmental site assessment reports and other technical reports, including data and figures.
  • Assist senior managers in meeting milestones, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Support in selecting and managing project staff and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and implement Health and Safety Plans/Job Safety Analyses.
  • Support the Managing Consultant in meeting or exceeding budget and utilization targets.
  • Monitor relevant data such as utilization performance, client deadlines, and timesheet accuracy.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure high-quality work products.
  • Meet or exceed individual utilization goals.
  • Support team culture through positive leadership and empowerment.
  • Ensure operations comply with all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain high quality on all deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, or related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in Phase I & II environmental assessments and remediation.
  • Proven ability to produce independent work, manage projects, and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of NJDEP, NYSDEC, and PADEP regulations; PADEP Act 2 experience is a plus.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to oversee and guide staff.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical writing proficiency.
  • Ability to perform under fast-paced conditions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, GIS is a plus.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-Hour certification required.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification required (training provided if needed).
  • Willingness for regional travel up to 100%, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
Additional Information

The pay range is $60,000 - $80,000 based on experience.
