Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. is seeking a Senior Scientist in Analytical Sciences & Technology (AS&T) to support launch readiness and lifecycle management for the commercial CGT portfolio.

You will provide expertise in biological assays and analytical requirements, guiding method development, validation, and lifecycle management to ensure robust performance and compliance. The role emphasizes collaboration with Analytical Development, Process Development, Commercial Manufacturing, Quality, and

Qualifications

• Experience with analytical method development and validation for biologics or CGT products.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory guidelines (ICH/USP/EMA).
• Experience managing external analytical testing (CTO/CDMO) is a plus.
• Proven ability to support commercial biologics with cGMP manufacturing.
• Excellent writing and communication skills for technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Own the success of commercial analytical activities, prioritization, and execution.
• Serve as SME for analytical methods and commercial testing requirements.
• Author/review method SOPs, study protocols, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with internal and external functions for tech transfer.
• Oversee analytical testing at CDMOs and contract labs.
